DALLAS, Oct. 20, 2015 – VI Engineering, a leading provider of engineering design and project consulting services headquartered in Houston, was acquired by Stantec, Inc., a global provider of professional engineering consulting services based in Edmonton, Canada.
Dallas-based Capital Alliance Corp. (www.cadallas.com) represented VI Engineering selling shareholders, Matt McBurnett and Kurt Ederhoff, throughout the transaction. Terms were not disclosed.
“We have been searching for a mechanism to grow our presence in other markets and joining Stantec allows us to achieve this,” says Matt McBurnett, principal at VI. “Bryan Livingston and Neal England at Capital Alliance navigated us through a very successful transaction. Stantec’s entrepreneurial spirit mirrors ours and its diverse portfolio provides us an opportunity to offer our clients a wider array of services with an expanded geographic reach. It has been a great match that exceeded our overall expectations.”
The acquisition of VI Engineering adds to Stantec’s platform to better serve their clients across the country. VI Engineering is joining a well-established group of nearly 900 power engineers and specialists across the company.
