Vanex, Inc. has been acquired by PPG Industries, Inc.

PPG Industries acquired Capital Alliance Corp. client Vanex, Inc., of Mount Vernon, Ill. Founded in 1964, Vanex developed and manufactured water-based industrial coatings, marketed under the trade names Plascron® and Breakthrough®. The company’s coating products are used on metal, plastic and wood in the structural steel, building systems, construction and fabricated metals industries. Vanex shareholders sold the company to achieve a liquidity and an orderly transition for employees. The strategic transaction was completed by PPG Industries to gain access to Vanex water-based coatings technology and a base of skilled employees to reinforce their TrueFinish product offering.
